Every single aspect of my dental experience with Dr. Whisenant was amazing. Who would think that about a dentist? I do, after my visit. I'm a wuss when it comes to pain, especially with dental work. When he shot the back of the gum with the local anesthesia, I didn't even feel a sting. He took several minutes administering the shot as he very slowly injected the anesthetic. He explained that the sting one normally feels is due to how fast the fluid is injected. The slower, the less the fluid parts gum tissue, and therefore less sting.
My mother is 80 and so afraid of dentists, she was actually in tears just waiting for her appointment to begin. Immediately, Dr. Whisenant and his staff put her at ease and got her through the appointment without a hitch! She was laughing and told me afterwards that she couldn't believe she waited so long to take care of her teeth. He was just awesome with her and I am very grateful to have found a dentist with a heart and real sensitivity for her situation. I am switching all of our family coverage to Gatlin Creek Dentistry!
Our 3yr old loved her visit! The office is clean and staff are extremely friendly and patient. Dr. Whisenhant took his time explaining to us as well, no rushing us through. I'm also considering switching and going here myself too. We will definitely be going back, highly recommend.
Then, the tooth filling itself was a walk in the park. And my nerves are very sensitive! The true test was the rest of the day and following days after the anesthetic wore off. He sure found the right tooth with a filling that was loosening from years before that was starting to cause soreness.
Dr. Whisenant is super patient and was happy to answer my questions without rushing answers and explanations. Great job Dr. Whisenant! You get an A+!
Now, I can chomp apples and anything else without babying the right side of my mouth.
Dr Whisenant's staff is so helpful and knowledgeable and the office is conveniently located across from the polo club at sawyer ranch road.
We have been trying to find a dentist ever since moving to the area two years ago. Sandy made sure my children were relaxed the entire time and understood their procedures. Leslie knew all the details of my insurance plan. She explained what was covered and what I was responsible for...before they did any work. Dr. Whisenant was so kind and took his time to explain everything that he was doing. My very nervous daughter had pain-free and easy filling. I cannot say enough nice things about the service we received.
